A fabulous full day canoe trip coming in 2016 for larger groups of 6 - 12 people .

Starting in Shardlow village near Derby and venturing up the Trent and Mersey Canal. A beautiful stretch of canal, nice and wide, control of the canoes is required for passing narrow boats. We walk round 3 locks along the way up to lunch time.

A quick portage to the river and a paddle back along the River Trent with a surprisingly quick current in places, opportunities to see plenty of wildlife along the way.
Paddling past Shardlow initially to the canal and river junction with the River Derwent, we then return via the canal back to the Start / Finish point for a well earnt drink in one of many watering holes!

All of this just on the Nottinghamshire / Leicestershire / Derbyshire border.
